In 1975, Jerry Siegel halted a further appeal on his lawsuit for the rights to Superman because of a promise of some kind of a financial settlement. A settlement which didn’t come… but instead came news of an upcoming blockbuster Superman movie. So Jerry wrote the greatest press release of all time… putting a curse on the Superman film.
